Emulation Technology was founded in 1983 to produce and market time-saving very large-scale integration (VLSI) and surface mount technology (SMT) adapters and accessories for engineers involved in hardware and software product development, design and test, and electronic systems manufacturing. ET has been committed to helping its customers quickly and efficiently manage testing and debugging of electronic systems for more than a decade.Emulation Technology is the world leader in the adapter and test accessory market, representing the industry's largest provider. The company introduced its first product, the "Bug-Katcher," in 1983, and its first complete product catalog appeared in 1987. The company was the first to introduce a 0.3 millimeter test product, the MicroGripper™, in 1996. Emulation Technology was also the first company to introduce pin grid array (PGA), plastic quad flat (PQFP) and ball grid array (BGA) package adapter support for engineers involved in high-level hardware and software design.
